A longtime resident, husband, father, and community leader, Mayor Beto Lopez has dedicated more than 25 years to strengthening Lee’s Summit and the greater Kansas City region. From his early work in economic development to his leadership as a CEO, he has built a reputation for bringing people together to solve problems and drive meaningful progress.
Elected to the Lee’s Summit City Council in 2018 and re-elected in 2022, Beto has been a strong advocate for smart growth, fiscal responsibility, and meaningful community engagement. As Mayor Pro Tem he played a key role in shaping city policies related to public safety, infrastructure, and regional collaboration.
