Unified Development Ordinance

Unified Development Ordinance (commonly referred to as UDO), which includes zoning and subdivision platting regulations, regulates and controls development and use of land to promote public safety, health, and general welfare of the community.

UDO was adopted in 2001 and went into effect on November 1, 2001.  It has been amended numerous times since then in an effort to keep up with local and national trends, as well as to make corrections and make the regulations more clear.  Articles (or chapters) that make up the UDO are shown below, along with the date of the latest amendment to each article. Since UDO is a very lengthy document, each article is provided here as a separate document, so you can view or print only the ones needed.
