Summary
The Airport Division is part of the Public Works Department and is responsible for the daily operation of the Lee's Summit Municipal Airport.
Designated by the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) as a reliever airport for the Kansas City metropolitan area, the Lee's Summit Municipal Airport is designed to reduce congestion at larger air carrier airports by providing general aviation pilots with alternate landing facilities.
