City Council Meetings

The Mayor and City Council hold Regular Sessions the first and third Thursday of each month and Work Sessions are held every second Thursday of the month. These meetings are open to the public; citizens and interested parties are encouraged to attend. Find out more about the meeting structure at City Council meetings.

Board & Commission Meetings

Members of the Boards and Commissions are appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the City Council. When there is a vacancy on a committee, or a new committee is formed, the Mayor makes recommendations to the City Council based upon completed interest forms. To be considered for an appointment, complete an interest form and select the boards and committees that you are interesting in serving. Several Council Committee's are televised on the City's Government Access Cable Channels viewable on Comcast (7) and Time Warner (2). These meetings can also be viewed live or archived on-line via streaming video. In addition, the same meetings are re-broadcast throughout the week following the meeting on the cable channels. Council Committee's available for viewing live or archived include: City Council, Finance & Personnel, Public Works, Solid Waste and Legislative Intergovernmental Relations Committee.
