Lee's Summit Parks & Recreation (LSPR) is pleased to announce that Pleasant Lea Park has reopened following a makeover.

Lee's Summit Parks Administrator Joe Snook was honored with the Missouri Park and Recreation Association’s highest honor, Fellow Award, at their annual conference on February 16 in Lake Ozark, MO.

Do you like building puzzles? Are you competitive? Lee's Summit Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce its new, upcoming puzzle competition, which will challenge teams of 2-4 people. This is a 2-hour Jigsaw Puzzle building competition with a fun, family-friendly atmosphere including snacks, prizes, and an optional puzzle swap table. Teams will receive the competition puzzle to take home and the top three teams will receive prizes for finishing the puzzle the quickest. Teams may range from 2-4 people. Friends and Family are welcome to attend and cheer their team on. The competition will take place on March 24, 2023, at Gamber Community Center from 5:30 - 9:00 pm.   

Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation (LSPR) is excited to share with our community that former LSPR Administrator, Tom Lovell, will be inducted into the Missouri Recreation and Parks (MRP) Hall of Fame in February.

School Break Camp is a recreational program for youth, ages 5 to 11 years old that is operated by Lee's Summit Parks and Recreation. It provides a wide variety of activities including but not limited to: swimming, bowling, skating, field trips, movies, guest speakers, organized games and activities and much more!
