Itty Bitty and Pee Wee Sports

Itty Bitty and Pee Wee Sports are skill development programs. Each participant receives a t-shirt and participation medal. Parental involvement is optional during skill work. Parents may also be asked to assist during the scrimmage portion of the program. During weeks one and two, participants and parents work on each skill together as a group with direction from the Itty Bitty Site Supervisor. During weeks three and four, participants and parents review each skill as a group. Participants then begin working on a scrimmage with the time remaining. In week five, participants play an entire game.

Soccer

Itty Bitty Indoor Soccer - Ages 3-4 - A skill development program that rotates participants through stations that focus on major skills of the game. During the final week, participants will play an entire game. The success of this program depends on volunteer station leaders. Parents/guardians will be asked to volunteer. Inclement Weather Line: 816.969.1516 option #1. No equipment is required for this class. Participants may bring their own ball. It is recommended to bring a water bottle. Please note the time you registered for; this will be the start time for all classes.

Pee Wee Indoor Soccer - Ages 5-6 - A 4-week instructor-led program for children ages 5 and 6 that introduces and expands their soccer knowledge. Skills include dribbling, trapping, shooting, and goalkeeping. Basic rules of the game will also be covered.

Itty Bitty Indoor T-Ball - Ages 3-4 - A 4-week instructor-led program that introduces and expands their knowledge of T-ball. Skills included fielding ground balls and pop-ups, hitting, and base-running. Participants are encouraged to wear a shirt or jersey of their favorite team!

Pee Wee Outdoor T-Ball - A 5-week instructor-led program for children ages 5 and 6 that introduces and expands their knowledge of Soccer. Skills include dribbling, trapping, shooting, and goalkeeping. Basic rules of the game will also be covered. No equipment is required for the class, but a water bottle is recommended. Registration closed.


T-BALL PARENT GUIDE

Football

Outdoor Itty Bitty Football - Ages 3 and 4 - Skill-building will include hiking, passing, flag pulling, and catching. During the final week, the participants will play an entire game and awards will be given to each participant. Parent participation is not required, but it is encouraged. Please bring a bottle of water. No other equipment required. Registration Closed.

Outdoor Pee Wee Football - Ages 5-6 - A skill development program that rotates participants through various stations that focus on major skills of the game. Stations will include hiking, passing, flag-pulling, catching, and kicking. During the final week, participants will play an entire game. Parent participation is not required but is encouraged.
Please bring a bottle of water. No other equipment is required. Registration closed.

Itty Bitty Indoor Basketball - Ages 3-4 - Are you looking for a way to introduce your kiddo to basketball while interacting with many other kids the same age? Each week will cover fundamentals such as dribbling, shooting, passing, and rebounding.

Esport & Table Top Game Events

Pokémon Play & Trade
Calling all Pokémon TCG players, come to Harris Park Community Center as LSPR hosts its Pokémon Play & Trade event! Take the opportunity to play a few games and swap cards with fellow Pokémon players. Play matches, trade cards, or even just come to learn how to play. LSPR will even hook up our Nintendo Switch to have even more ways to come and play. Open to everyone, no matter the level of experience! Registration Closed.

Mario Kart Tournament
LSPR is hosting a Mario Kart Tournament! Entry fee of $10 includes participation in pool play (depending on number of entries), double elimination tournament, pizza and drinks. This event is open to anyone over the age of 6. Consoles & controllers provided by LSPR, but feel free to bring your own controller. Registration closed.

Super Smash Bros. Tournament
Get ready to go head-to-head in the Super Smash Bros. Tournament! This event is open for anyone over the age of 6 years old. The entry fee is $10 and includes participation in pool play (depending on the number of entries), a double elimination tournament, and pizza and drinks. Consoles and controllers are provided by LSPR, but feel free to bring your controller.

Youth Flag Football

Youth Flag Football Skills & Drills is a five-week class for kids age 7-11 to help develop the skills to be successful in the sport. The class will involve on a variety of drills that will touch on areas of the game such as throwing, flag pulling, receiver and coverage skills and blocking skills. Scrimmages will be held toward the latter end of the course.
This is a five-week instructional class, not a league. Registration is closed. Call Paul Arndorfer with questions at 816.969.1542.

Girl's Flag Football 

This new league will cater to various skill levels, from beginners to experienced players. It promotes physical fitness, strategic thinking, and camaraderie among participants. The program begins in mid-September and ends early November. The season will be 7 weeks of games. Games will be on Saturday with practices TBD. This is for girls in grades 3-4, 5-6, and 7-8. Regisration is closed.

Youth Intro to Golf

Five week intro to golf series where beginners can learn the fundamentals, have a safe place to ask questions and learn in a comfortable environment.All classes take place at Shamrock Hill Golf Course unless otherwise noted. 5/14 reserved for make up date. Registration closed.

Skateboarding

When done safely, skateboarding can be a great outlet for our youth. Skateboarding is a fast-paced, exciting, and fun activity that does have proper etiquette and an unwritten code of conduct. In this class, the instructor will teach skate park etiquette, balance, basic skills, and simple tricks... perfect for beginners! The class will meet a total of three times. Parents must be present for the duration of each session. Helmets and a skateboard are required; knee and elbow pads are highly recommended. For ages 3-12. Registration closed.

Youth Introduction to Volleyball

Introduction to Volleyball is a class for all kids ages 6-9. This five-week skill development class will teach participants the basic skills and rules of Volleyball. Classes take place at Harris Park Community Center.
