* Annual Membership Important Information:

  • A photo ID is required for proof of residency.
  • All fees are priced for individuals ages 4 and over. Children 3 and under are free.
  • Annual memberships are good for one year from the date of purchase.
  • You will be sent a reminder when your membership is coming near its expiration date.
  • Payments can be made by cash, check or credit card (visa, Mastercard and Discover).
  • A 2.75% fee will be charged when using credit card transactions.

Annual Membership Extensions or Holds:

Annual members may place their membership on hold for documented medical reasons for a minimum of one month and a maximum of three months. Membership holds are available only for annual memberships and may be used once per current membership term. The Membership Hold Request Form will be available in both electronic and paper formats. Paper forms may be submitted at any LSPR community center or at the Parks and Recreation office in City Hall. A doctor’s note must be submitted along with the request form. This note should include the doctor’s office, the patron’s name, and the date(s) of the non-exercise period.

** Monthly Flex Membership Important Information:

  • A photo ID is required for proof of residency.
  • Monthly memberships are withdrawn from checking accounts on the 15th of each month.
  • An enrollment fee of $30 and a voided check (no starter checks) are required at the time of registration, as well as the first month's dues.
  • Monthly membership fees are not prorated and are priced for the month you join.
  • All fees are priced for individuals ages 4 and over. Children 3 and under are free.
  • All changes to monthly membership drafts need to be completed by the 1st business day of the month.

Monthly Flex Membership Extensions or Holds:

Monthly flex memberships cannot be placed on hold instead you may cancel your membership in your absence, LSPR will not give credit for memberships due to non-usage.

  • 30-day memberships are a great option for people wanting just to use facilities for the summer or winter break.
  • A photo ID is required for proof of residency.
  • All fees are priced for individuals ages 4 and over. Children 3 and under are free.
  • 30-Day memberships are good for 30 days from the date of purchase and are non-refundable.
  • A prorated refund is available if member has to cancel before the 30-day expiration.
  • Payments can be made by cash, check, or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, and Discover).
  • A 2.75% fee will be charged when using credit card transactions.

Key Fobs - For your convenience!

The Key FOB allows LSPR to better track attendance, to know who is using the facilities and saves time when registering for programs, paying for a single visit or swiping in at facilities. The Key FOB is easy to carry with you as it slides onto your key ring. You can also take a picture of it and store it in your phone! Stop by anytime to pick up your free key fob at any of our facilities so you can start carrying your key to fun! Key FOBs are required so please remember to bring it with you. Replacement FOBS are $1.

Discounted Rates:

To receive discounted rates, proof of residency in LS is required and will be verified.

  • A LS Resident lives within the city limits AND/OR pays LS property tax (not Jackson Co. or R-7 taxes).
  • A Lee’s Summit mailing address is NOT a guarantee of residency.

Lee’s Summit Parks & Recreation reserves the right to adjust pricing anytime without notice. Selected areas of the building will be closed due to routine maintenance throughout the year. Compensation for memberships will not be granted when this occurs.

J. Thomas Lovell Jr. Community Center at Legacy Park

The 58,000 square foot center provides the following amenities:

  • Gymnasium used for basketball, volleyball, pickleball and group fitness.
  • Two racquetball courts.
  • Indoor aquatics area with a lap pool, leisure pool, and a hot tub.
  • Personal Training Studio.
  • Wellness floor offers a combination of free weights, circuit weights, Syngrgy 360 and treadmills.
  • Cardio room equipped with rowers, AMTs, NuSteps, elliptical, upright, and recumbent bikes.
  • An aerobics studio that offers over 60 classes per week.
  • Fitness on Demand, the virtual instructor-led classes.
  • Cycle studio with instructor-led classes and a virtual library available to you.
  • An elevated walking track.
  • Childcare area for children aged 6 months to 9 years (additional cost and limited hours).
  • Free wifi available.

Longview Community Center

The 60,000 square foot center provides the following amenities:

  • Gymnasium used for basketball, volleyball, pickleball, and rental opportunities.
  • Indoor aquatics area with an 8-lap lane 25-meter pool, diving well, and a hot tub, plus aqua fitness classes.
  • Strength equipment is a combination of free weights, circuit weights, and Synrgy 360.
  • Cardiovascular equipment includes rowers, AMTs, NuSteps, ellipticals, treadmills, and upright and recumbent bikes.
  • Group fitness room that offers over 20 classes per week.
  • Cycle studio with instructor-led classes.
  • A walking track.
  • Bicycle rentals
  • Chair and Table massages available by appointment.

Harris Park Community Center 

The 20,091 square foot center provides the following amenities:

  • Gymnasium used for basketball, volleyball, pickleball and walking.
  • Rental opportunities for volleyball and basketball.
  • Classrooms available for rentals (birthday parties, baby showers, corporate events, etc).
  • Pickleball open play and programming.
  • Free WiFi available.
  • Host site of Camp Summit, LSPR's Recreational Day Camp in the Summer (Mid-May - Mid-August).
  • Host site of LSPR's Adult Volleyball and Basketball leagues (Yearly).
  • Host site of LSPR's Youth Volleyball and Basketball leagues (September-Early-May).
Gamber Community Center

Gamber Community Center provides the following fitness amenities:

  • Wellness floor offers a combination of free weights, circuit weights, Smith Machine.
  • Cardio room equipped with treadmills, rowers, nu steps, ellipticals, arm cycle, and recumbent bikes.
  • Aerobics studio which offers a variety of classes per week.

Health Plan Memberships

Health plan memberships allow you to join our LSPR facilities at no cost to you. A membership form must be completed at each of the facilities you wish to use. Our staff will take your photo and issue you a LSPR Key Fob for you to access the facility. You will be required to scan in every time you visit. Your membership will grant you full access the facility and our group exercise classes.

Childcare

Childcare Fees:

  • Single visit (for up to two hour stay):
    • $4.00 per child 
  • Childcare Punch Pass (each pass is good for 30 visits):
    • $90 for non-members  ($3 per stay)
    • $80 for members ($2.66 per stay)

Childcare is provided at the Lovell Community Center.

  • Monthly Flex Memberships – active for the month you join, is not prorated. Automatically drafted from your checking account each month on the 15th.   • Qualified health plan- These memberships are paid by your insurance provider. Must qualify in advance to be eligible. SilverSneakers, Prime Renew Active, Silver and Fit and Active and Fit are all accepted at our locations.

  • Access to all LSPR indoor community centers GCC, HPCC, LCC, LVCC
  • Free group exercise classes (land, cycle and aqua) located at GCC, LVCC and LCC
  • Access to cardio equipment, free weights and circuit weights located at GCC, LCC and LVCC

  • If you live within the City Limits of Lee’s Summit, pay property taxes to the City of Lee’s Summit, or own a business in Lee’s Summit and can provide a copy of the business license, you are eligible for a Resident rate.
  • Having a Lee’s Summit address or living within the Lee’s Summit R7 school district does not guarantee you are a resident.
  • To see if you qualify please call one of LSPR facilities and we can look it up for you.

  • Our facilities need to operate at 100% cost recovery and will not receive tax dollars to support the operation of the facility. The community center was purchased with funds from a 1/4 cent sales tax which the residents of Lee's Summit voted for in 2016. The resident discounted rate is to show appreciation to its citizens, who chose to support the development of their park system by passing the sales tax initiative. 
  • Non-residents do not pay property taxes to the City of Lee's Summit, vote for the elected officials or tax issues specifically designated for the City of Lee's Summit. Many of LSPR non-residents pay school taxes, but the school district is a separate entity and neither the City of Lee's Summit or the Lee's Summit Parks and Recreation department receive any portion of the tax money paid to the R7 School District. In the event that LSPR is unable to meet the financial obligations for LSPR facilities or programs the burden to pay for this would fall on the residents of Lee's Summit, not the surrounding communities.

  • LPSR found it to be most beneficial for all of LSPR patrons when we reduce the admission price to the lowest cost possible. The best way to do that is to offer a single rate (pass option). The cost to operate each facility does not change based on the age of the patron.
  • LSPR does participate in a variety of Health Care membership plans such as Silver and Fit, SilverSneakers, and Renew Active. Ask us about eligibility of these plans.
  • Admission for children ages 3 and under is free. 

  •  LPSR found it to be most beneficial for all of LSPR patrons when we reduce the admission price to the lowest cost possible. The best way to do that is to offer a single rate (pass option). The cost to operate each facility does not change based on the number of people you have in a family or the age of the patron.
  • In addition, to define a family is also difficult to do. There are many non-traditional households that consider themselves a family. To be as inclusive as possible it makes even more sense to offer a single, low rate for all participants, regardless of age, household status, or location in the community. LSPR one rate philosophy was used for many years at the old Lee's Summit pool and was implemented at LPCC in 2010. The pricing structure has been well received by the community and the low rate is always appreciated. 
  • Each year staff completes market research of similar facilities in the metro area and LSPR price point is very competitive and reasonable.  LSPR feels the current pricing structure is the most fair option for LSPR patrons. When offering a family membership staff often heard complaints that it was unfair that a family of 2 had to pay the same fees as family of 4 when the expense to operate the facility is the same for both families.
  • Provided are some options for your consideration:
    • Any family member under the age of 4 gets into the facility for free. 
    • If you have any children that are between the ages of 4 and 9 they do not have to be members to utilize the child care
      • The fee is $3 per child per visit regardless of the membership.  
      • A 30 visit childcare pass can be purchase for $70, reducing each visit to $2.33 per visit
    • If a member of the family will not be utilizing the membership on a regular basis, they have the option of purchasing a single visit instead of paying the monthly or annual membership fees.

  • No, you may purchase a single visit pass to take classes.
  • Classes are free with your membership.
  • Patrons are encouraged to sign up for classes in advance to ensure space.
  • You may sign up for a class 7 days in advance.
  • Specialty classes will be offered for an additional charge.

  • No, fees are for full facility access only.
  • Once a patron enters the facility, they have full access to all amenities.
  • LSPR cannot monitor each patron’s whereabouts to ensure they are only utilizing the pool.

  • Children under the age of four (4) years old are free.
  • At four (4) years of age the parent has the choice to pay for a single visit, purchase a membership or utilize childcare services (LVCC and LCC only)

  • Children 10 years and younger must be supervised by an adult at all times.
  • At 10 years of age a child can swim, play basketball, play pickleball, take classes or walk the track alone.
  • In addition to the above items, 12-17 year olds can access the equipment with a fitness orientation.
  • In addition to the above items, 16 year olds can also use the spa.

  • Yes, located at LVCC and LCC only.
  • The childcare service is considered an activity, not a membership amenity. This service has an activity fee associated with it to cover the cost of the service.
  • The childcare fee is $3 for a single drop-in visit or 30 visits can be purchased at one time for $70 if the purchaser has a valid LSPR membership.
  • The fee for non-members is $80 for 30 visits.  
  • No appointment necessary, patrons may utilize the childcare for 2 hours per visit during the operating hours.

  • Yes, each member can receive a free equipment orientation.
  • Ask a service representative at our welcome desk to sign up.

  • We do not offer a towel service. Please bring your own towel if you wish to shower or use the aquatic facilities.

  • Locker use will be allowed for the day but patrons will be required to remove their belongings each day.
  • Locks will be available for sale or rent at the Welcome Desk
  • Locks left on overnight will be cut off and the contents removed.

  • The key fob allows LSPR to better track attendance to know who is using the facilities and saves time when registering for programs or swiping in at facilities.
  •  Replacement key fobs are $1.

  • In order for LSPR to ensure all residents have an opportunity to enjoy the benefits of the many programs offered, a special work program has been developed.
  • The Work Program offers a trade in service hours to the department for financial assistance to participate in programs, activities and membership.
  • If circumstances prevent a patron from participating in the Work Program, a request can be made to utilize funding from the Angel Program which is made possible through private donations and grants.
  • If you are in need of assistance, please seek out the facility manager at your location for more information.

  • LSPR is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • Patron are encouraged to place their belongings in a locker with a lock.
  • If you have an item you have lost, please check with the facility to see if is in our lost and found.
  • Due to storage restrictions, facilities can only hold lost items one week before discarding them.
  • Discarded items are donated to a local charity.

  • The facility, classes and all services will remain open during all severe weather such as extreme heat, thunderstorm, tornado warnings and winter weather advisories.
  • If there are any closings notification will be posted on facility Facebook pages or the LSPR website.
  • In cases of extreme heat, our facilities will serve as cooling centers for the community.
  • In cases of extreme cold, the lobby will serve as a warming center for the community.
