Longview Recreation Center Operational Changes

Longview Recreation Center Operational Changes

The Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation Board (LSPR) and the Board of Trustees for the Metropolitan Community College of Kansas City, Missouri (MCC) have entered into discussions for the purchase of the Longview Recreation Center located on the Longview campus, with the goal of transitioning ownership and operations of the facility to LSPR in the coming months.

We believe this potential transaction provides exciting opportunities for the Lee’s Summit and Longview Communities. LSPR and MCC staff are continuing to work together to prepare final proposals, which the respective boards will be reviewing over the next several weeks.  Information will be shared with the community as the discussions progress.
