The Legacy for Parks Foundation enhances the quality of life for the people of Lee’s Summit through the stewardship of resources to develop, improve and preserve Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation.
It is a volunteer driven, 501c3 non-profit organization.
Lee’s Summit is home to an award winning parks and recreation department! In addition to providing healthful youth and adult recreation programming, preservation of precious open space is especially important for a city that loses over 100-acres of open space a year to development. The Foundation provides additional resources to leverage taxes, fees and grants to enhance parks and recreation services.
