Artist Reception & Exhibit this Thursday at 6:30pm.

The Lee’s Summit Arts Council will be hosting a reception to present photographer Diane Brown and her works to be on exhibit at the Gamber Center July 31 through October 16, 2014. The opening event will be held on Thursday, July 31. The reception, which is free to the public, will begin at 6:30pm with a presentation by the artist beginning at 7pm.

LSPR's FREE Summer Concert Series concludes with “Blues & Jazz Fest” Friday, August 1!

This family fun event set for Friday, August 1 and will feature "Jason Vivone and The Billy Bats”, “Knock Kneed Sally” and “Doghouse Daddies”. The concert begins at 7pm and goes until 10:30pm and is held on Green Street in Downtown Lee’s Summit on the City Hall Plaza.

Legacy for Parks Foundation invites you to Party in the Park at Summit Waves on August 9th

The Legacy for Parks Foundation will whisk you away to a resort style evening complete with access to all of Summit Waves amenities, live music from the “Good Sam Club Band”, heavy hors d’oeuvres, drink tickets, resort games and a take home gift. The event is set for Saturday, August 9 from 7 – 10pm. The Party in the Park is a fundraiser for a new sprayground in Miller J. Fields Park.

Lee’s Summit Arts Council CALL FOR ARTISTS Gamber Center Exhibitions 2015

The Lee’s Summit Arts Council (LSAC) in partnership with LS Parks & Recreation invites entries for the 2015 Gamber Center juried rotating art exhibit. All media and any subject matter are eligible for consideration. Artists from the Lee’s Summit, Eastern Jackson County and surrounding metropolitan areas, age 18 and older are eligible to submit work. Four(4) artists will be selected to exhibit their artwork for a three-month period in 2015/2016. The deadline for submissions is August 15, 2014.
