Streetscaped Pavilion

The design team has been hard at work on a Streetscaped Pavilion area that will transform the area where Green Street exists today. The pavilion will be the epicenter of several of the festivals held downtown each year. It will also serve as an everyday gathering space for all those who visit, work or live in Lee’s Summit’s downtown community.

This area will contain several striking features including:

• A ‘project gateway’ designed to invite visitors into the market plaza.
• Series of artistically designed arches dubbed the ‘wickets’.
• Art walk featuring art installations from various local artists.
• Open seating and gathering areas for community congregation.
• Immersive kid’s playground.

Like the outdoor performance area, the Streetscaped Pavilion will be programmed with regular events designed to engage the community.
