Intersection of Southwest Mission Road and Southwest Pinetree Lane Set to Close on Sept. 16

The intersection of SW Mission Road and SW Pinetree Lane is set to close on Monday, Sept. 16, and will remain closed until approximately Tues., Oct. 1, weather permitting. The closure is necessary for stormwater infrastructure improvements as part of the Pinetree Village stormwater project.

Access will be maintained for residents at all times; however, residents on the east side of the closure will need to exit to the east on SW Pinetree Lane, and residents on the west side of the closure will need to exit to the north on SW Mission Road. All work is weather permitting.

Crews are scheduled to report at 7 p.m. on Saturday to treat streets as needed and will continue to work overnight into Sunday. Snow accumulations for the Lee’s Summit area may be around one half inch, and the main concerns will be snow overwhelming pavements Saturday night and a re-freeze Sunday morning when temperatures drop below freezing.
