City’s Crews Plowing & Treating Streets Today, Sun., March 3

City crews are plowing and treating streets today, Sun., March 3, and will continue overnight into Mon., March 4, after two to three inches of snow fell in the area. With accumulating snow ending at approximately 10 a.m. on Sun., March 3, the goal time for all streets to be plowed and treated is 6:30 p.m. on Mon., March 4. Residents can help the snow control process by removing obstacles such as vehicles, basketball hoops and trash cans from streets.

While sunshine during the day on Sun., March 3, is helping with some melting, extremely low temperatures will limit the effectiveness of salt particularly after the sun goes down. Snow will continue to be packed to the pavement even after streets have been plowed and treated, and may remain snow packed for several days until temperatures increase.
