Plowing & Treating of Primary and Secondary Roads Complete

Crews have completed plowing and treating primary and secondary roadways as of late afternoon, Monday, Nov. 26 and have moved on to residential streets.

Overnight temperatures are expected to dip into the teens which will cause wet roadways to become slick. Please use care navigating streets and bridges. City crews will be working overnight and will respond to slick areas as needed.

It is expected that all roadways will be plowed by 2 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28.

City Crews Treating Streets Today, Sunday, Jan. 2

The City’s Crews are completing salt treatment on residential streets today, Sunday, Jan. 2, and are re-treating primary streets. Extremely cold temperatures will limit the effectiveness of salt and some streets, especially residentials, will remain ice/snow packed until temperatures warm up. City Crews Prepared for Winter Storm Jan. 1-2

The City’s crews will report at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 31, to begin pre-treating roadways with salt ahead of a winter storm forecast for the Kansas City metro area.
