City’s Crews Scheduled to Work Late Thurs., Jan. 23, and Overnight into Fri., Jan. 24
Crews are scheduled to work late Thurs., Jan. 23, and overnight into Fri., Jan. 24, as another round of snow is expected to move through the Lee’s Summit area. Total snow accumulations are expected to be minimal; however, temperatures are expected to drop overnight making streets slick. Residents should use caution while traveling during rush hour Friday morning. Temperatures are expected to rise above freezing mid-morning which should help melt snow on streets.
Temperatures are expected to drop below freezing again late Fri., Jan. 24, and overnight into Sat., Jan. 25, causing a potential refreeze on wet pavements. Crews will likely be scheduled to treat streets late Friday and overnight into Saturday. The City will continue to monitor the weather forecast and update its response accordingly.
