LEE’S SUMMIT, MO— On Wednesday, April 8, 2020, at 6:30 p.m., the Lee’s Summit Fire Department responded to 3900 Block of SE Doc Henry Road for a reported structure fire. The caller reported a fire under the siding of the house and in the basement. The house was being evacuated.

When crews arrived, there was nothing visible from the outside of a two-story, single-family home. The occupants had extinguished the fire on the outside of the house. The incident was under control by 6:45 p.m.

Fire damage was limited to a portion of the outside wall and floor joists in the basement. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
