Southwest Hook Road Lane Closure Switch Set for July 24

Southwest Hook Road Lane Closure Switch Set for July 24

The eastbound lane of Southwest Hook Road from Southwest Arthur Drive to Southwest Ward Road is set to reopen on July 24 and the westbound lane will temporarily close for approximately eight weeks, weather permitting.

The detour route is Southwest Ward Road, M-150 Highway and Horridge Road. Local access only will be allowed westbound on Southwest Hook Road between Southwest Arthur Drive and Horridge Road.

The work is necessary as part of the Hook Road Shoulders project, which includes the construction of six-foot-wide paved shoulders along each side of Southwest Hook Road. The project began in late May and is expected to be complete by mid-September, weather permitting.
