Night Flight 5K Annual Run is set for Friday, June 10 at Legacy Park

Night Flight 2022The 41st annual Night Flight 5K run, benefitting the Legacy for LS Parks Foundation, will take place on Friday, June 10, 2022. The 5K begins at 9 p.m. at the Legacy Park Amphitheater (901 NE Bluestem Dr., Lee's Summit, MO 64086)

Lee’s Summit Medical Center and Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation are excited to partner once again to host the 41st anniversary of the Night Flight 5K.  Packet pick-up will be held at Lee's Summit Medical Center (2000 SE Blue Parkway, Lee’s Summit, MO 64063) on Thursday, June 9 from 4-7 p.m. Packet pick-up and late registration will be held on Friday, June 10 from 4-7 p.m. at Legacy Park Amphitheater. Registration fee is $30 for 14 years and older and is $25 for 13 and under.

On Thursday, April 28, 2022, at 4:51 p.m., the Lee’s Summit Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire in the 4300 Block of NE Walnut Ridge. City Places Public Safety Sales Tax on April 5 Ballot

On April 5, Lee's Summit voters will be asked to consider a half-cent public safety sales tax solely for the purpose of providing support for law enforcement, fire protection, emergency response and other public safety services. If approved, the City’s current sales tax rate would increase from 2.25% to 2.75%, and the total sales tax rate would increase from 7.85% to 8.35%.
