Big Truck and Equipment Show at Lee’s Summit City Hall

Big Truck and Equipment Show at Lee’s Summit City Hall

The City of Lee’s Summit is inviting the community to come out and take part in the Big Truck and Equipment Show on Saturday, May 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at City Hall, 220 SE Green St. This free family-friendly event is a chance to explore some of the City’s biggest pieces of equipment.

There will be no shortage of items to enjoy, for both kids and adults. Public Works will have its snow plows, street sweeper and various other pieces of equipment on display. Water Utilities will bring out trucks used for a number of jobs, including trucks used for visual inspections, excavations and repairs. Fire Headquarters will also open its doors to the public, allowing everyone to explore the different fire trucks. And Lee’s Summit Police will be out, showing off its bomb squad vehicle.

Families can take part in an array of activities throughout the day, from face painting to demonstrations of the big trucks and equipment. Parking is available in the public parking garage, located at the corner of Second Street and Green Street.

The Big Truck and Equipment Show is an opportunity to learn about the equipment the City uses to provide important everyday services to residents. The event is hosted by Public Works and Water Utilities.

For more information about the event, contact Public Works at 816-969-1800 or email publicworks@cityofLS.net.
