City’s CityView Portal Set for Upgrade and Outage July 2-6

City’s CityView Portal Set for Upgrade and Outage July 2-6

The City of Lee’s Summit is preparing to upgrade its CityView software application. Due to the upgrade, the CityView Portal will be unavailable beginning at 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, through 6 a.m. on Monday, July 6. Users will not have any access to the Portal during this timeframe and should plan accordingly.

Once the upgrade is completed, users will be able to resume regular activities and access all self-service options in the Portal, including permitting, business licensing, submitting planning applications, uploading documents, and paying fees. The upgrade will expand the availability of some planning applications and permits in the Portal, such as commercial permitting, as well as offer new integrations and internal efficiencies.

There are no major changes to functionality, but users will notice some minor visual changes to icons and the ability to choose road segments where applicable. This upgrade includes a new URL to access CityView. It will take about a month for that URL to be active, so during that time, users will notice an automatic redirect to the new web address when accessing the existing URL. When the new URL is active, users are encouraged to bookmark the link.

CityView is primarily used by the City’s Development Services, Public Works, Water Utilities, and Fire departments. Thank you for your understanding and patience during the CityView upgrade process. If you have any questions, please contact the Development Services Department.
