Chief Poeschl Retires, Gives Final Transmission

Chief Rick Poeschl concluded a 30 year career with the Lee's Summit Fire Department with a final radio transmission on March 8, 2019. Chief Poeschl started as a firefighter and worked his way up to the rank Chief. He exemplified the LSFD values of PRIDE, and instilled those values within the Department. During his leadership the Department achieved national accreditation and a reduced ISO rating, in addition to many other accomplishments. Chief Poeschl leaves the Department with the tools needed to move into the future and better serve the citizens of the City of Lee's Summit.
