Lee's Summit Cultural Arts is a division of the City of Lee’s Summit Administration Department. In collaboration with the Cultural Commission, the division serves as the local arts agency for the City and the community. The division coordinates activities that elevate the arts including public art, partnership and funding opportunities.
Public Artist Roster
The City of Lee's Summit Cultural Arts Division maintains a Public Artist Roster to select artists for new projects. Inclusion in the roster does not guarantee a commission of work.
This tool is accessible to all, business owners and developers are encouraged to use this as a resource when commissioning or adding public art to their space. Artists selected for this roster can complete works of art for the public sphere. This can include but is not limited to sculpture, murals, site-specific and performance.
All experience levels are welcome.

Mayor Proclaims November Educational Theatre Month
At the November 14 City Council meeting, Mayor Bill Baird presented the annual Educational Theatre Month proclamation to theatre students from Lee's Summit High School, Lee's Summit North High School and Lee's Summit West High School. This annual proclamation recognizes the invaluable achievements of Lee's Summit public and private school theatre education programs.
