Meet Abstract Digital Artist Gary Pycior
Visit City Hall on June 18 from 5:00-6:30 PM and meet artist Gary Pycior.
Currently on display at Lee’s Summit City Hall, Gary Pycior creates photo-based abstract designs. Each finished piece is an intricate combination of Gary’s original photographs. Many of the designs begin with a photograph that has been reduced to a single design element, which is then manipulated and repeated. New images are then added to introduce variations of value, shape and color. In some of his more recent works, he has created pastel paintings to combine with the patterns.
Originally from Lee's Summit, Gary Pycior is an artist in photography and digital media. Pycior studied illustration and design at the University of Central Missouri and spent his professional career in the creative process at a commercial photography studio in Kansas City. Since retirement, Gary has focused full-time on his personal work, which combines his passion for image capture with his skills in manipulating images.
Exhibit is on display at Lee's Summit City Hall, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
