Artist Exhibit: Freedom Endeavor

Every Veteran has a different story. Every Veteran has a different face.

Artist Exhibit: Freedom Endeavor

The Freedom Endeavor

On exhibition at Lee's Summit City Hall (first and second floors) through November 22. Exhibit open during normal business hours.

The Freedom Endeavor honors Missouri Veterans through the use of dramatic artistic photography and text media. Each Veteran is photographed as we would see them currently, in everyday civilian life. They are photographed holding a picture of themselves from their time in the service. The contrast between their current appearance and their service time can be vastly different. Each Veteran portrait is accompanied by their story on how their service time affected their lives and why they took the oath.

Several years ago, photographer Snyder had an idea for a project to increase awareness of US Military Veterans. He began experimenting with settings and lighting, using his father – his inspiration - as a model. After 4 years of working on it in his spare time, The Freedom Endeavor was created. The project finally launched in November, 2016 and continues to gain momentum and support from around the region.
