History of the Airport

In 1977 the Airport was privately owned and operated airport by Bill McComas. It had One runway 2,400 by 60 feet and five hangar buildings housing 48 aircraft, plus fifty outside tie-downs.

The airport is currently owned and operated by the city of Lee's Summit. It has two runways one 4,000 by 75 and the other 3800 by 75 feet. The airport has 23 buildings and many tiedown spots that house approximately 172 aircraft.
