To report a pothole in a City street, notify the Public Works Department by calling (816) 969-1800 or include the street name and direction of travel in our contact us form. The pothole will be repaired within one working day (24 hours), weather permitting

SW Murray Road between SW 3rd and SW 5th Streets Set to Close Temporarily on Monday, March 7

SW Murray Road between SW 3rd and SW 5th streets will close temporarily beginning on Monday, March 7, 2016, and is anticipated to remain closed until July 2016, weather permitting. The road closure is necessary for bridge replacement across Murray Road.  

Intersection of SE Hamblen and SE Bailey Roads Set to Close Temporarily on March 2

The intersection of SE Hamblen and SE Bailey roads will close temporarily on Wednesday, March 2, and will remain closed for approximately four weeks, weather permitting. The closure is necessary to remove and replace the intersection as part of the Bailey Road project.

City Celebrates Orchard Street Improvements

The City of Lee’s Summit celebrated the completion of improvements to Orchard Street from NE Douglas Street to NE Independence Avenue at a ribbon cutting ceremony on Dec. 19, in the City Hall lobby. Approximately twenty-five people attended the event.

Lee's Summit Public Works Department Announces 2015 Employee of the Year

Sarah Shore was announced as the 2015 Lee’s Summit Public Works Department Employee of the Year during the State of the Department presentation on Dec. 17, at the City’s Maintenance Facility, 1971 SE Hamblen Road, Lee’s Summit, Mo. Shore is a management analyst and has worked for the City of Lee’s Summit for two years.
