To report a pothole in a City street, notify the Public Works Department by calling (816) 969-1800 or include the street name and direction of travel in our contact us form. The pothole will be repaired within one working day (24 hours), weather permitting

MoDOT to Close Lane of Eastbound 50 Highway on July 13 and July 14

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has announced its crews will close the right lane of eastbound 50 Highway between Todd George Parkway and Smart Road from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Wed., July 13, and Thurs., July 14, weather depending, for the removal of barrier walls on the eastbound side of 50 Highway. 

Murray Road from Chipman Road to O’Brien Road Set to Close Temporarily Until Mid-August

NW Murray Road from NW Chipman Road to NW O’Brien Road in Lee’s Summit, Mo., will close temporarily for water line improvements beginning Tuesday, July 5, until approximately mid-August, weather permitting. Detour routes will be posted along NW Chipman Road, NW Pryor Road and NW O’Brien Road.

Curb Replacement for Six Major Arterial Streets Begins Tuesday, May 31

The Arterial Curb Replacement program, which will replace 26.5 miles of curb on six major arterial streets in Lee’s Summit, Mo., is anticipated to begin on Tuesday, May 31, on SW Ward Road. The replacement of curb on all six major arterial streets is expected to take approximately six months, and will be complete by late November 2016. Streets will remain open during construction, but will have lane closures.  Slow moving traffic and delays can be expected. 

Blackwell Road Interchange Informational Meeting Scheduled for Tuesday, May 31


 

 

 




The City of Lee’s Summit and the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will host an informational meeting about the US 50 Highway and Blackwell Road Interchange Improvements from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, in the Lee’s Summit Medical Center Arbor Room, 2100 SE Blue Parkway, Lee’s Summit, Mo. The purpose of the meeting is to provide residents with a project update including details about the construction process and timelines.
