The City's popular Big Truck & Equipment Show is from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2017, on Green Street in front of City Hall. Kids of all ages can climb into the driver's seat of some of the City's biggest pieces of equipment!

Report a Pothole

To report a pothole in a City street, notify the Public Works Department by calling (816) 969-1800 or include the street name and direction of travel in our contact us form. The pothole will be repaired within one working day (24 hours), weather permitting

City Receives Funding to Extend Lee’s Summit Municipal Airport Runway

The Lee’s Summit Municipal Airport located in the heart of one of the fastest growing regions of the country now has the necessary funding to begin paving the extension of its north/south runway.

Lee's Summit Public Works Department Receives Prestigious Third APWA Re-Accreditation

The City of Lee’s Summit Public Works Department has recently been awarded a prestigious American Public Works Association (APWA) third Re-accreditation. The APWA Accreditation program recognizes public works agencies that go beyond the requirements of the management practices established nationally in the public works industry, as contained in the APWA Public Works Management Practices Manual. 

MoDOT Set to Temporarily Close Section of Shenandoah Road Until March 2017

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has announced its crews will close Shenandoah Road from Blackwell Road to Kimbrough Lane beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 12. It will remain closed through March 2017.
