The City's popular Big Truck & Equipment Show is from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2017, on Green Street in front of City Hall. Kids of all ages can climb into the driver's seat of some of the City's biggest pieces of equipment!

Report a Pothole

To report a pothole in a City street, notify the Public Works Department by calling (816) 969-1800 or include the street name and direction of travel in our contact us form. The pothole will be repaired within one working day (24 hours), weather permitting

SW Forestpark Boulevard between SW Third Street and SW Waterfall Drive is Temporarily Closed for Two Months During Cedar Creek Interceptor Project Construction

SW Forestpark Boulevard between SW Third Street and SW Waterfall Drive in Lee’s Summit, Mo., is temporarily closed beginning Tuesday, July 21, and is anticipated to remain closed until late September 2015, weather depending. Alternate access is available via SW Longview Road. The temporary closure is necessary for sewer line construction as part of the Cedar Creek Interceptor project.

Bailey Road Project Update

The Bailey Road construction project, originally scheduled to be complete in December, 2014, is once again underway after the successful reduction of camber in the bridge beams was finished on June 22, 2015.

Tree and Limb Drop-Off

Across our community residents are reporting downed trees and limbs after the storm that swept through the metropolitan area overnight on June 25. Although the City does not pick up brush, residents are reminded brush can be taken to the Resource Recovery Park (RRP), also known as the landfill, at 2101 SE Hamblen Road.

City’s Annual Surface Seal Program Begins Monday, June 29

The City’s annual surface seal program is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 29, weather permitting, and is anticipated to be complete by mid-August. More than 50 lane miles will be surface sealed this summer.
