Report a Pothole

To report a pothole in a City street, notify the Public Works Department by calling (816) 969-1800 or include the street name and direction of travel in our contact us form. The pothole will be repaired within one working day (24 hours), weather permitting

MoDOT Set to Temporarily Close Section of Shenandoah Road Until March 2017

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has announced its crews will close Shenandoah Road from Blackwell Road to Kimbrough Lane beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 12. It will remain closed through March 2017.

Strother Road Now Open to Through Traffic

Strother Road from Independence Avenue to Lee’s Summit Road is now open to through traffic. The road was realigned to the north of the previous road, and now has two lanes with paved shoulders.

Murray Road Update

Construction Work at SW Third and SW Murray Roads Intersection Begins Friday, Aug. 19; NW Murray Road from NW O’Brien to NW Chipman Roads Now Open to Through Traffic

Construction work at the SW Third and SW Murray roads intersection will begin on Friday, Aug. 19, with work taking place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on  Aug. 19 and from Aug. 22-25, weather permitting.

In addition, a section of NW Murray Road from NW O’Brien to NW Chipman has reopened to through traffic.


Intersection of Fourth and Market Streets in Downtown Lee’s Summit to Become All-Way Stop by Friday, Aug. 12

New stop signs will be installed in both directions of SW Market Street at the intersection of SW Fourth Street in downtown Lee’s Summit, making the Fourth and Market streets intersection an all-way stop.
