Meet Two New Officers - Officers Hargrave & Walker

Read the Lee's Summit Police Department Oath of Office

Personal Profiles are presented as part of the Department’s efforts to introduce officers to the public. Profiles will be published randomly and primarily in reverse order of employment with the newest officers featured first. If you are interested in employment as a police officer with our Department, contact Sergeant Michael Childs and visit the Employment Section on this web site.

Two of the Department’s new officers are currently being featured.

The police department attracts individuals as diverse as their reasons for seeking a career in law enforcement.

Some complete college before applying, others finish after establishing their career. Reading a great book helps some cope with stress, while others immerse themselves in outdoor sports and home repair.

Regardless of their individual differences most are driven by the desire to affect a positive change and by the conviction that they can’t imagine themselves doing anything other than being a police officer.

Meet two of the newest in a long legacy of competitive individuals who took the road less traveled to become Lee’s Summit’s newly sworn police officers. Currently, both are assigned to the midnight shift where they are honing newly acquired skills.
