The Legacy for Parks Foundation was established to promote parks and recreation in Lee’s Summit, Missouri and is striving to provide meaningful opportunities for individuals and organizations to contribute. It is a non-profit organization and is volunteer driven.
Lee’s Summit is home to an award winning parks and recreation department! In addition to providing healthful youth and adult recreation programming, preservation of precious open space is especially important for a city that loses over 100-acres of open space a year to development. The Foundation provides additional resources to leverage taxes, fees and grants to enhance parks and recreation services.
