Changes to Recycling Availability at Lee’s Summit Schools

Beginning with the start of the new school year on Aug. 17, 2016, the recycling bins located in the Lee’s Summit R-7 School District parking lots will now be designated for school and student use only.

RecycleFEST returns!

Saturday, September 17, 2016; 9 a.m. - Noon, City Hall parking lot, 220 SE Green Street.  An event offered by the City of Lee's Summit twice a year.  Residents can bring specific unusual items to recycle at the event.

Lee's Summit Reactivates Storm Drain Stenciling Program!

Educating the community about the importance of keeping our water clean and free of pollutants harmful to humans and the environment is at the heart of the City’s Storm Drain Stenciling Program being reactivated by the City on Sat., Aug. 13.

Open House for Proposed Lee’s Summit Transfer Station is June 22

The City of Lee’s Summit will host an open house for the proposed transfer station from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at Lee’s Summit City Hall, 220 SE Green St., in the Howard Conference Room on the second floor.

The purpose of the open house is to provide an opportunity for residents to learn more about the proposed transfer station and ask questions prior to the start of the development process.
