What is Sustainability?
Among the many definitions that exist, sustainability is quite simply the capacity to endure. People are learning and interacting in ways that not only provide what is needed, but also ensure that future generations will be able to benefit from the same, if not better, quality of life.
“Then I say the earth belongs to each generation during its course, fully and in its own right, (but) no generation can contract debts greater than can be paid during the course of its own existence.”
Thomas Jefferson (1789)
