Adopt-A-Street/Stream

The City's Adopt-A-Street and Adopt-A-Stream programs encourage civic responsibility and bolster community pride while improving community aesthetics and water quality. Removal of litter, debris, and hazardous materials not only keeps our community beautiful but also keeps our lakes and streams clean for recreation and wildlife.  Residents, civic groups, organizations, and businesses are encouraged to participate.

Volunteers who adopt a designated street or stream segment and collect litter at least four times per year for streets and twice a year for streams will receive a Certificate of Appreciation and recognition on two City 'Adopt' signs posted on each end of their adopted segment.  The City will provide trash bags for debris collection and will pick up filled bags upon completion.
