2017 Development Report Released

The Planning & Special Projects Department just released its new 2017 Development Report. This report includes updated Census demographics, population and housing growth statistics based on city-issued building permits, commercial growth and updated subdivision listings. Minor Home Repair and First Time Homebuyer Programs

Both the First Time Homebuyer Program and Minor Home Repair Program of the City of Lee's Summit are funded under the Community Development Block Grant Program through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The City is conducting three different surveys to gather input from residents, developers/builders and financial institutions regarding housing and impediments to fair housing choice. All surveys are anonymous. These surveys will help the City with the Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice, a Federal mandate for entitlement communities under HUD grant programs.

These surveys will end on June 30, 2018.

As an alternative, the following links provide an option for download of the surveys so that they can be completed by hand.

Surveys downloaded from the links above should be returned by mail to Planning & Special Projects, City of Lee's Summit, 220 SE Green St., Lee's Summit, MO 64063, or by fax to 816-969-1619 or by email to planning@cityofLS.net. Resident survey may be returned by bringing it to one of our drop off locations printed on the survey.

Survey results will provide valuable information for the City in its analysis of current housing situations, housing needs, patterns of imbalance, barriers to a balanced housing market, etc.
