Coldwater of Lee’s Summit named Community Hero – a campaign to honor Community Heroes of outstanding character and achievement.  The campaign is sponsored by 106.5 The Wolf and the City of Lee’s Summit.

The announcement was made Thurs., May 11, during the Roger & Codie show on The Wolf.

It’s not often an organization is named a Community Hero.  But, Coldwater is nearest and dearest to many in need. Coldwater’s mission is to build friendships that foster hope in our community while providing food and clothing for those in need.

Stacy Lombardo nominated Coldwater noting that one of their most exciting and innovative plans is to build Coldwater Village, which will provide much needed support to young adults with developmental and physical disabilities.  It will be the first project of its kind in the area and will help fill a huge gap in the system.  Raising awareness could help them raise the funds they need to get this project off the ground.

With this recognition, Coldwater will also receive a $100 gift card to V’s Italiano Ristorante, courtesy of the Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce.

Congratulations to Lee’s Summit’s Community Hero Coldwater of Lee’s Summit and thank you for all that you do for our community!  For more information about Coldwater of Lee’s Summit, visit www.coldwater.me.
