Beginning on October 2, City Council meetings will be held on Tuesday evenings instead of Thursdays. All meetings will begin at 6 p.m.

City Organizes Stream Team Clean-up Event for October 17

In an effort to keep our streams clean of debris, the City of Lee’s Summit Public Works Department is organizing a “Stream Team” to clean up litter along Cedar Creek from Ward Road to Chipman Road. The event will be from 9 a.m. to noon on Oct. 17 and will include the City’s Public Works staff as well as volunteers from the community.

City Hosts Electronics Recycling Event October 10

Properly dispose of unused or end-of-life electronic equipment at the City of Lee’s Summit’s recycling event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on October 10 at Lee’s Summit High School, located near the intersection of Highways 50 and 291.

Public Discussion of the Lee’s Summit Municipal Airport Business Plan Rescheduled for October 15

The City of Lee’s Summit announced today that the public discussion of the Lee’s Summit Municipal Airport Business Plan will be held at the City Council’s October 15 City Council meeting instead of the October 8 City Council meeting.
