Citywide Solid Waste/Curbside Recycling Update

The City of Lee’s Summit’s Solid Waste Committee determined the second set of “Scope of Work” details for the proposed solid waste, curbside recycling program after discussion with City staff on August 25.

Residents Asked to Participate in Survey to improve City’s Government Access Channel

Lee’s Summit residents can help the City improve the Government Access Channel by completing an on-line survey available on the City’s Web site, cityofls.net. The City’s channel is broadcast on Comcast, channel 7; Time Warner, channel 2; and AT&T U-verse, channel 99. Click here to take survey

Strother Road Interchange Open to Traffic

Mayor Rhoads and other officials celebrated the completion of the new interchange at Interstate 470 and Strother Road in Lee’s Summit today, Thursday, August 19 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the site of the new interchange.

Ribbon-cutting Celebration: I-470 & Strother Road

You are invited to join the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) and the City of Lee’s Summit for a ribbon-cutting celebration to signify the completion of a new interchange at I-470 and Strother Road in Lee’s Summit. Please join us on Thursday, August 19 at 10 a.m. at the new interchange. To gain access to the ribbon-cutting location, use one of the following routes:

Citywide Solid Waste/Curbside Recycling Update

On July 28, the City of Lee’s Summit’s Solid Waste Committee worked on determining the first set of “Scope of Work” details for the proposed solid waste/curbside recycling program.  These details included the number of haulers to be included in the program (single hauler or zones); the party responsible for billing (city or hauler); the length of contract; and collection days at individual homes.
