Keep Cool When It's Hot

Admission fees into Legacy Park, Gamber and Harris Park Community Centers will be reduced to half price on all days the National Weather Service issues Excessive Heat Warnings for the months June, July and August. During business hours, Mid-Continent Libraries are also good cooling centers. Call United Way 2-1-1 for assistance or information about public cooling centers.

City of Lee's Summit News

City’s Government Access Channel, (LSTV) now available on Google TV, channel 143

The City of Lee’s Summit’s Government Access Channel (LSTV), is now available on Google TV, channel 143, reaching more Lee’s Summit residents.

LSTV provides live and rebroadcast coverage of various public city meetings, including Lee’s Summit City Council, Planning Commission and other committees. Lee’s Summit R-7 School District Board meetings have been recently added to the LSTV rebroadcast lineup.  LSTV also broadcasts information promoting City services and regulations, upcoming city events, public service announcements as well as emergency information, when needed.

Building a Community for All Ages

A Community for All Ages is a program that recognizes communities that have taken steps to become more welcoming to residents of all ages and, in the process, are more vibrant, healthy and prosperous.  Lee’s Summit can earn one of three levels of recognition representing the extent of work in becoming a Community for All Ages: Bronze, Silver or Gold.
