Lee's Summit Launches Regional Tourism Campaign

Outreach effort targets baby boomers and grandchildren throughout six-state region

Lee’s Summit, Mo., has launched a regional tourism initiative and outreach campaign aimed at attracting multi-generational travelers to the historic community in suburban Kansas City in 2016 and beyond. The campaign is a collaboration among the City of Lee’s Summit, the Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street. The three-month initiative targets selected cities in Kansas, Missouri, Iowa and Nebraska with a blend of traditional advertising, interactive media buys and social media outreach. 

Buying Energy Star Appliances Pays Off Several Ways in April

The City of Lee’s Summit is participating in the “Show Me Green Sales Tax Holiday” that exempts city and state sales taxes on energy star certified new appliances from Tues., April 19 through Mon., April 25, 2016.

Meet Local Artist David Bigelow April 21

The City of Lee’s Summit invites you to meet David Bigelow and view his display of art on Thursday, April 21, from 5:30 - 7 p.m., in the lobby of City Hall, 220 SE Green St., Lee’s Summit. Enjoy light hors d’oeuvres as you talk with our local artist and enjoy his art. Wine sampling is also available, compliments of Snax Catering.

2016 Unofficial Election Results

Below are the unofficial results of the Lee's Summit April 5, 2016 election. Once the election results are certified by Jackson and Cass counties, the City Clerk will swear in the elected officials on April 21 in the Council Chambers of City Hall at 6:15 p.m.
