Date/Time Change for City Council Meetings

Beginning on October 2, City Council meetings will be held on Tuesday evenings instead of Thursdays. All meetings will begin at 6 p.m.

Downtown Scultpure Dedicated April 1st

Lee's Summit celebrates the first permanent public art installation downtown on April 1.  "Kids at Heart" is the name of the three bronze statues of children at play, located on 3rd Street, just east of the Douglas Street intersection, designed by nationally known artist Kwan Wu.

City Dumpster Becomes Canvas for Mural Art Contest Winners

One of the metal containers at the City's Resource Recovery Park will become a work of art thanks to a collaborative group of art students from Lee's Summit High School and Lee's Summit West - all charged with recreating a winning environmental design on the unique canvas.

LS 360 Strategic Planning Process in Final Stages

In 2008, the City engaged a diverse group of citizens to become actively involved in defining the strategic vision for the future of Lee's Summit. The group, known as "Lee's Summit 360º," met on March 31 for their final reporting session, after a 10-month process.
