Keep Cool When It's Hot

Admission fees into Legacy Park, Gamber and Harris Park Community Centers will be reduced to half price on all days the National Weather Service issues Excessive Heat Warnings for the months June, July and August. During business hours, Mid-Continent Libraries are also good cooling centers. Call United Way 2-1-1 for assistance or information about public cooling centers.

Downtown Scultpure Dedicated April 1st

Lee's Summit celebrates the first permanent public art installation downtown on April 1.  "Kids at Heart" is the name of the three bronze statues of children at play, located on 3rd Street, just east of the Douglas Street intersection, designed by nationally known artist Kwan Wu.

City Dumpster Becomes Canvas for Mural Art Contest Winners

One of the metal containers at the City's Resource Recovery Park will become a work of art thanks to a collaborative group of art students from Lee's Summit High School and Lee's Summit West - all charged with recreating a winning environmental design on the unique canvas.

LS 360 Strategic Planning Process in Final Stages
