Statement regarding Diodes FabTech Inc.

The City of Lee’s Summit and the Lee’s Summit Economic Development Council are not able to comment on Diodes FabTech’s plans for its local operation because the company has not officially notified either of an immediate decision to close.

The City of Lee’s Summit sympathizes with employees potentially affected by the rumored closing of Diodes FabTech. Its lease at Summit Technology Campus will expire in December of 2017.

Lee’s Summit Fire Department Fire Engineer Phil Hudson and Firefighter Chase Hudson are the latest to be honored with the Community Heroes recognition – a campaign to shine a well-deserved spotlight on individuals with outstanding character and achievement. The campaign is sponsored by 106.5 The Wolf and the City of Lee’s Summit.

 

Lee’s Summit Ranks as a Best Place to Purchase a Forever Home

Congratulations Lee’s Summit on making the list of the “2017 Best Places to Buy a Forever Home” released by staff at GoodCall.com, a personal finance website. Lee’s Summit ranks 46 out of 100 cities on the list; the only other city from Missouri in the top 100 on the list was Columbia ranking at number 69.

FREE Hands-Only™ CPR training

Knowing how and when to administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation or CPR could mean the difference between life and death during an emergency. In an effort to train Lee’s Summit residents in this life-saving procedure, the Lee’s Summit Health Education Advisory Board (HEAB) is offering a free, Hands-Only™ CPR training being held on Sat., Feb. 18, at the Gamber Community Center, 4 SE Independence Ave., Lee’s Summit. 

 

Participants can choose from three, 45-minute sessions beginning at 9 a.m., 10 a.m., and 11 a.m.
