Keep Cool When It's Hot

Admission fees into Legacy Park, Gamber and Harris Park Community Centers will be reduced to half price on all days the National Weather Service issues Excessive Heat Warnings for the months June, July and August. During business hours, Mid-Continent Libraries are also good cooling centers. Call United Way 2-1-1 for assistance or information about public cooling centers.

Statewide Tornado Drill Scheduled for March 3

Spring is just a few weeks away and with it the chance for severe weather - so be prepared. Severe Weather Awareness Week is set for March 2nd through March 7th.  This campaign is intended to increase public awareness about severe weather and tornadoes.

City Hall Closed Monday, Feb. 16

Lee’s Summit City Hall, Lee’s Summit Municipal Court, and the Animal Control Facility will be closed Mon., Feb. 16, in observance of the Presidents’ Day holiday. The Lee’s Summit Parks & Recreation Department’s Main Office, located inside City Hall, will be closed Monday as well.  However, the Gamber Community Center, Legacy Park Community Center and Harris Park Community Center will have normal hours of operation.
