Keep Cool When It's Hot

Admission fees into Legacy Park, Gamber and Harris Park Community Centers will be reduced to half price on all days the National Weather Service issues Excessive Heat Warnings for the months June, July and August. During business hours, Mid-Continent Libraries are also good cooling centers. Call United Way 2-1-1 for assistance or information about public cooling centers.

Snow Removal Crews Busy Plowing Snow and Slush

The City’s snow removal crews continued to plow snow and slush from City roadways this afternoon after our area received its first significant snowfall this winter. Crews will continue plowing slush, snow and treating slick spots on roadways tonight.

A Snowy Day!

Winter finally arrived in Lee's Summit today as evidenced by the City's first substantial snow event this winter season.  Beautiful, fluffy snowflakes began falling in our area early this morning and tapered during the afternoon.

Snow Removal Crews Scheduled to Pre-treat Roads Sunday Night

The City’s snow removal crews will begin pre-treating roadways at 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, in advance of the metropolitan area’s latest snow event forecast to arrive on Monday, Feb. 13.
