Keep Cool When It's Hot

Admission fees into Legacy Park, Gamber and Harris Park Community Centers will be reduced to half price on all days the National Weather Service issues Excessive Heat Warnings for the months June, July and August. During business hours, Mid-Continent Libraries are also good cooling centers. Call United Way 2-1-1 for assistance or information about public cooling centers.

City Hosts “How to do Business with the City” March 8

The City of Lee’s Summit and the Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce are hosting a second informational session on “How to do Business with the City”.  Learn more about the City’s procurement process, including how to register for bid opportunities and the guidelines on accepting low bids by attending this event.  This session is approximately one hour and will be held at City Hall on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 10:30 a.m.

Crews Scheduled to Treat Streets Friday night and Saturday

City crews will treat streets with rock salt tonight and Saturday, Feb. 26, due to freezing drizzle forecast for our area overnight and into tomorrow. Currently, crews are treating streets in residential areas as a result of the wintery mix received in Lee’s Summit on Thursday.

Most Applications Operational due to Hardware Component Replacement

The City’s Information Technology Services (ITS) staff successfully completed the installation of several key replacement hardware components for the City’s computer networked systems and servers.  The installation was warranted after receiving significant water damage earlier this week.
