City’s Crews Treating Streets with Rock Salt

With temperatures expected to drop this evening (Dec. 31), the City’s snow removal crews are treating City-owned roadways with rock salt and will continue to do so throughout the night on Dec. 31 and into New Year’s Day, Jan. 1. 2013.  If necessary, the City’s crews will also plow snow curb-to-curb when the snowfall ends.

City’s Crews Will Begin Plowing Once Snowfall Starts Accumulating

With the pretreatment of City-owned roadways completed early this morning (Dec. 31), the City of Lee’s Summit’s snow removal crews will begin plowing streets once the snowfall begins to accumulate. The City’s crews will plow the snow curb-to-curb when the snowfall ends. The City’s second snow event of the season began this morning and is expected to decrease in intensity to light snow this afternoon.

Jackson County Tax Payments accepted at City Hall! There's still Extended hours!

Jackson County Personal Property and Real Estate tax bills can be paid at Lee’s Summit City Hall at 220 SE Green.  The City benefits by receiving 1% of tax dollars collected for acting as an agent for Jackson County.  Taxpayers benefit by receiving their tax receipt immediately upon payment.  Payment is accepted by cash or check made payable to Jackson County Collector.
