Keep Cool When It's Hot

Admission fees into Legacy Park, Gamber and Harris Park Community Centers will be reduced to half price on all days the National Weather Service issues Excessive Heat Warnings for the months June, July and August. During business hours, Mid-Continent Libraries are also good cooling centers. Call United Way 2-1-1 for assistance or information about public cooling centers.

City Hall among Facilities Closed for Thanksgiving Day Holiday

Lee’s Summit City Hall, Municipal Court, and the Main office of Lee’s Summit Parks & Recreation (LSPR) will be closed Thurs., Nov. 26, and Fri., Nov. 27, in observance of the Thanksgiving Day holiday. These facilities will re-open with regular hours of operation on Mon., Nov. 30.

MoDOT to Intermittently Close Ramps from Nov. 16-18, at Chipman Road and Route 50, and Westbound Route 50 to 3rd Street

Update 11-19-15: Due to the cold nighttime temperatures and the pavement marking requirements for these ramps, MoDOT has postponed this work until spring 2016.

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will intermittently close ramps for asphalt milling and resurfacing work from Nov. 16-18, at both Chipman Road and Route 50, and westbound Route 50 to 3rd Street.
