Admission fees into Legacy Park, Gamber and Harris Park Community Centers will be reduced to half price on all days the National Weather Service issues Excessive Heat Warnings for the months June, July and August. During business hours, Mid-Continent Libraries are also good cooling centers. Call United Way 2-1-1 for assistance or information about public cooling centers.

In challenging economic times, low-to-moderate-income families may oftentimes be hit the hardest.  However, due to the joint efforts of several departments at the City of Lee’s Summit and local non-profit organizations, the City has offset some of these financial hardships by implementing a successful Consolidated Plan of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.

The City of Lee’s Summit is looking for past and present citizens to share their positive City-related histories.  Interviews will be conducted for a documentary entitled “Lee’s Summit Reflections.”

The City of Lee’s Summit has recently received numerous inquiries regarding notices left at residences throughout the community which imply that home addresses painted on curbs is what Public Safety officials look for to locate residences. This is a false statement.

City's Community Development Committee Cancelled for November 18

Due to only one item scheduled for discussion, the City of Lee’s Summit’s November 18 Community Development Committee (CDC) meeting has been cancelled. The City’s next CDC meeting will be December 16 in the Council Chamber of Lee’s Summit City Hall, 220 SE Green St., Lee’s Summit.
