Salary is $50’s annually DOQ plus an excellent benefit package.
Under the supervision of the Assistant City Manager, this position performs a variety of routine and complex duties to assist the Human Resources Department in carrying out various programs and procedures to include recruiting and staffing, employee relations, new employee orientation, training, and new hire selection and reference verifications. Duties also include updating job descriptions, analyzing comparator data to ensure positions are appropriately graded, assisting in compensation and benefit programs, back up for Benefits Specialist including knowledge of FMLA processes, and utilizing Lawson HRIS and NOVAtime timekeeping systems for upkeep and reporting purposes.
Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field and three to five years of pertinent Human Resources experience. Experience in public sector and union negation experience preferred. The ideal candidate will be a team player, organized, display initiative, and possess a proven track record of working in all areas of Human Resources.
