The staff of the Water Utilities Department ensure the delivery of safe and reliable water services to our customers. The Operations Division is responsible for almost every aspect of the maintenance, repair, and operation of the water and wastewater systems and facilities required to deliver these services. Duties will vary, but could include, flowing fire hydrants and exercising valves, assisting with the repair of water and sewer mains, sewer jetting, collecting field data, and general laborer activities.
Minimum requirements include high school diploma or G.E.D., and possession of or the ability to obtain a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License within 3 months of employment. Directly related municipal experience is preferred. Applicants should have at least basic experience or training in any or all of the following: general construction, equipment and hand tool operations, physical labor work and/or experience in the water/wastewater field. The ideal applicant will enjoy working in a variety of conditions and environments with a team of individuals dedicated to the delivery of quality services.
