Mission Statement

To provide excellence in police services to the community by safeguarding life and property in an effort to reduce the incidence and fear of crime. We will promote public safety through enforcing the law in a fair and impartial manner by protecting constitutional guarantees. The Police Department is located at 10 NE Tudor in a state of the art facility which opened in 1999. The City's municipal court also shares the premises. 

The Police Department is comprised of 136 sworn employees and 66 civilians.

The Animal Control office and shelter is located at 1991 SE Hamblen Road.
